Annual fixed or detachable ski lift evacuation training, usually conducted at the start of the season, is not only essential to ensure skills are maintained, but is also mandatory according to the standards established and supervised by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) and the Commission des normes, de l'équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail.

We offer an advanced eight (8) hour training course for salaried staff of the alpine ski center. Participants will learn how to support dispatch during an evacuation, climb towers to install evacuation ropes, climb ropes to rescue passengers directly in chairs, and how to handle passengers taking seats in adapted chairs.

This eight (8) hour Groupe Montagne Explore training will allow participants to acquire the knowledge necessary to ensure the evacuation of an entire ski lift quickly, efficiently and safely. 

The intervener must be the resource person for supervising an evacuation, especially for the distribution of the evacuation, the ascent of the tower for the installation of rope as well as carrying out any specialized rescue which requires a particular intervention which is outside the framework of basic training (Class A). Also, the intervener must know the risk factors of working at height: the types and consequences related to falls. 

Master techniques to limit risks. The training path will be divided between the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and the development of skills in the workplace in practical situations.
